Pot de Crème au Chocolat Recipe →
We made some of these chocolate creams. Like rich, thick pudding, but better :d We adapted it a bit with more sugar, using Scharffenberger’s dark chocolate. A little thicker than I would prefer, but still very rich and delicious. We topped ours with a bit of fresh, sweetened, whipped cream (chantilly cream).

Lemon Ricotta Softies
I made more of these lemony shweet softies today - yummers.
Even weirdos who don’t like lemony sweets won’t mind a bite or three of these deliciously tart cookies. They are softer than the average cookie, a bit fluffy to the bite. I call them “Softies” when we adapt the recipe, and I try to use Meyer Lemons for a nice, round sweetness to the cookies.

It is now growing season across the Corn Belt of the United States. Seeds that have just been sown will, with the right mixture of sunshine and rain, be knee-high plants by the Fourth of July and tall stalks with ears ripe for picking by late August.
